GOOD BYE CHILDHOOD...

There are dates in people's lives which could be the turning points for them and are unforgettable and indelible.

May 16 was one of those dates for the 32 students of the college who said good bye to their childhood years and college to start their youth career waiting for them whether it were university life, work, and future.

As a result, the students of the graduating class of the college passed their last day of the current academic year in the college so as to devote their time to prepare for the official exams and for the commencement. cont

A ONE-DAY VISIT TO ZAHLE-ANJAR

May 28, 2013, the 95th anniversary of the Independence of Armenia was a memorable day for the parents of the college who were ready to join the one-day visit to Zahle-Anjar organized by the Ladies' Committee of the college. 150 ladies and 15 teenagers, mostly students from the college, participated in the visit.

In the morning, the visitors departed from the parking beside "Shaghzoyan" center. By reaching Zahle, the ladies were welcomed by the administration of LOKH's "Shoushi" Cont.

A PROGRAM PREPARED BY THE STUDENTS TO
THE PARENTS OF THE COLLEGE

Parents' Day is one of the novelties of the college in the past years that has been organized during the month of May, on one hand to celebrate mother's and father's days and on the other hand to present the talents and the abilities of the students of the college in an activity.

This year, "Parents' Day" took place in the hall of the college in the evening of Friday, May 24, and in the presence of 200 parents and friends. The program of the day was impressive and rich. cont

CERTIFICATES FOR FIRST-AID SESSION

38 students from the secondary section got their certificates for participating in a first-aid session at LOKH's Araksi Boulgourjian Center on Wednesday, May 29. The students had participated on April 18 and 19 in a quick session in first-aid organized by the Lebanese Red Cross.

On the same day the distribution of the cards indicating the blood group of the students took place, too.

FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR THE COLLEGE WINS THE FIRST PLACE IN THE GENERAL KNOWLEDGE COMPETITION

For the second consecutive year, the college won the general knowledge competition which is organized and done annually by the Armenian Catholic University Association. The competition took place among ten Lebanese-Armenian secondary schools in the hall of HGHM at Ashrafiyeh on Saturday, May 18.

The theme of this year's competition was the Armenian world at Cilicia. The four students that represented the college, Mihran Nercessisn, Karin Kandaharian, Zarouhi Kevork, and Meghry Yeretzian, got 86 pts over 100 and won the first place; as a result, they received a souvenir and $800 as a financial award. The second and third winners had collected 81.5 and 80.75 consecutively.

A VISIT TO THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF LEBANON

The visit of the students of Grades 10 and 11 of the college to the National Museum of Lebanon was an occasion for them to get to know the civilized past of Lebanon in a better way on Thursday, May 23. The students were accompanied by their Arabic History and Arabic Language teachers and the superintendent of the college.

By visiting the museum, the students watched curiously the monuments, the coins, the statues, and other valuable objects which have remained from various eras in the past history of Lebanon. Besides the exhibited objects, the students watched a DVD which featured the preservation and renovation tasks done by the museum during and after the Lebanese war.
